Synopsis

Sylvie Larkin knows how to create the perfect Christmas window.

Perfect lighting. Perfect snow. Perfectly arranged shoppers, streets and festive magic.

There's just one problem.

Someone keeps changing it.

A snowman turns overnight. A dog appears somewhere it shouldn't. Tiny details move when no one is watching. Then come the handwritten notes - funny, infuriating and increasingly impossible for Sylvie to ignore.

Determined to catch the culprit, she finds herself drawn into an anonymous conversation with the one person willing to challenge everything she thought she knew about her work.

Meanwhile, maintenance engineer Elliott Merritt is becoming equally difficult to ignore.

Dry, observant and far more creative than he admits, Elliott has an opinion about almost everything - especially Sylvie's window. Their arguments become coffees. Coffees become something neither of them is quite ready to name.

But Sylvie doesn't realise the man she's beginning to fall for and the stranger behind the messages are the same person.

And when the truth finally comes out, the window isn't the only thing that has to change.

With Christmas approaching, careers shifting and their private story suddenly attracting very public attention, Sylvie and Elliott must decide whether what grew between them can survive without notes, secrets or a pane of glass between them.

A warm, funny contemporary Christmas romance about creativity, honesty, imperfect beginnings - and discovering that sometimes the best things happen when you stop trying to make everything perfect.
