Synopsis

Cornwall’s folklore has inspired storytellers for generations. This collection brings new voices to its old legends and famous places, with a varied range of tales that reflect the nation’s love for this magical corner of Britain.

In these pages, merrymaids call from the harbour, piskies hide in plain sight and ancient guardians watch over a circle of stones. A Spanish visitor falls for Cornwall’s sea songs, a cricketer finds his confidence with a five-pound bat, and a family faces the loss of the farm they love.

This unique anthology brings together local authors and those inspired by Cornwall, with brand-new stories of both folklore and everyday life, of people drawn to the coast, and those whose roots run deep beneath it.
