Synopsis
Foxtales is the annual publication of the Fox Valley Writers, an open writing group based in North Aurora, Illinois. This eclectic collection of stories and poetry spans various genres. On the absurdist end, an old man tells tales of life in his youth, and a young shepherd cries "werewolf." On the opposite end a miniature horse touches the lives of a young girl and her family. In between, there are poems, a mystery story involving two women trying to save the British Empire, and a genre-bending reality loop. Finally, in a nod to classicism, there is a retelling of an Ancient Greek homecoming.
