Koala wants a PROPER Christmas. There's just one problem: it's forty degrees in the bush!
One summer morning, Koala finds a Christmas card with snow, a snowman and a cosy fire on the front. Now that, he decides, is how Christmas should be.
So Koala tries everything. He shakes the gum tree for snowflakes (only gumnuts fall, bonk!). He builds a snowman from esky ice (it melts into a puddle). He even wants to light a cosy fire, until everyone shouts, "TOTAL FIRE BAN!"
With help from Wombat and a very giggly Kookaburra, Koala decorates a gum branch with gumnuts and bottlebrush, shares a shady picnic of mangoes, watermelon and pavlova, and splashes in the creek. Under the twinkling Southern Cross, he discovers that a summer Christmas might be the best kind of all.
Inside you'll also find:
A warm, funny Christmas picture book about friendship and celebrating the Aussie way. Perfect for ages 3 to 7, stockings, Christmas Eve reading, and family overseas who want a taste of Christmas Down Under.
