Serenade in D minor Op.44 for Oboe I,II; Clar I,II; Bsn I,II; Contra-Bsn; Horn I-III; Vc; Kb In 1878 Dvorák was in Vienna and was so impressed by a performance of Mozarts Wind Serenade in B-flat major K. 361 that he wrote his own wind serenade within the space of two weeks after his return. Taking Mozarts piece as his model, he supplemented the wind band with a bass part for violoncello and double bass. The Op.44 Serenade in D minor, which also delighted Johannes Brahms, was issued by Dvoráks publisher Simrock shortly after its premičre. Schwierigkeitsgrad:3 = mittelschwer 1878 ließ sich Dvorák in Wien von einer Aufführung von Mozarts Serenade B-Dur für Bläser" KV 361 so sehr beeindrucken, dass er unmittelbar nach seiner Rückkehr innerhalb von zwei Wochen eine eigene Bläser-Serenade komponierte. Nach dem Vorbild Mozarts ergänzte er die Bläserbesetzung mit einer von Violoncello und Kontrabass gespielten Bassstimme. Kurz nach ihrer Uraufführung erschien die Serenade op. 44", die auch Johannes Brahms begeisterte, bei Dvoráks Verleger Simrock im Druck. Die neue Urtextausgabe bezieht sich auf den Erstdruck, sie korrigiert jedoch einige Fehler und vor allem Inkonsequenzen in der Artikulation nach dem Autograph. Seller Inventory # 02-10424
