This study explains how Chlamydia spreads using a mathematical model. It shows that the disease spreads through sexual contact, mother-to-child transmission, and environmental routes. The population is divided into groups like susceptible, infected, vaccinated, and recovered. The model applied the reproduction number to determine how the disease spreads. When the reproduction number is less than 1, the infection eventually dies out in the population, but when R₀ is greater than 1, the disease continues to spread and persist. The model also shows that loss of immunity can allow the infection to remain in the population even when the reproduction number is low. The study showed that high contact rate increase spread, while vaccination and public health interventions reduce it.
