Synopsis
Cannabinoids are increasingly studied both in psychiatry and in veterinary medicine for their therapeutic benefits in humans and pets. This book presents comprehensive evidence about the effects of cannabidiol (CBD) on the anxiety in humans as well as in domestic dogs and domestic cats. The book begins with presenting evidence for the anxiety-reducing effects of CBD administration in teenagers with Social Anxiety Disorder, and ends with presenting a hypothesis that the ancestral dog has been domesticated as the pet animal with CBD exposure. Otherwise, one can read documentation such as that cats’ capability to empathize with humans as caregivers can be enhanced by CBD administration, and that separation anxiety produced in dogs and cats can be eased by CBD administration.
