The accelerating integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare has underscored the necessity for AI literacy among medical professionals, including medical librarians. This research explores how AI literacy affects the job performance of medical librarians and investigates the mediating role of personal creativity. Using a mixed-methods approach comprising a survey of 200 medical librarians and in-depth interviews with 20 participants, this study reveals that AI literacy significantly enhances job performance, with personal creativity serving as a key intervening variable. The findings have implications for training programs and professional development initiatives aimed at equipping medical librarians for the evolving demands of the healthcare information environment.
