About the Author

Yin Yaobao, Dr. Eng., is a Professor and Vice Dean of the School of Mechanical Engineering at Tongji University. He is also vice-chairman of the Shanghai Mechanical Engineering Society’s Fluid Power Transmission and Control Committee, a member of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society’s Fluid Power Transmission and Control Committee, the member of the Chinese Society of Vibration Engineering’s Mechanical Power Committee, and a member of both Shanghai Society of Astronautics’ Automatic Control Committee and its Launcher Committee. His research areas include fluid power transmission and control theory in extreme environments, servo mechanisms and power units for aircraft, high speed hydraulic and pneumatic servo systems, servo valves, future energy and power control, and ocean wave energy converters.
