Synopsis
السقا مات هي أيقونة الأديب الكبير يوسف السباعي الروائية الخالدة، والتي تُعتبر إحدى روائع الرواية العربية بصفة عامة. تجري أحداث الرواية في إطار رمزي حول إشكالية الموت، إذ يحاول بطل الرواية، المعلم شوشة السقا، الهروبَ من ذكرى رحيل زوجته في دروب الحياة، حتى يلتقي بشخص على النقيض منه تمامًا، ويُنقذه من الضرب فى أحد المطاعم، فتتوثق علاقتهما ويدعوه للإقامة فى بيته مع حماته وولده سيد، وسرعان مما تتبدَّل حياة المعلم شوشة حين يعرف بمهنة هذا الشخص، ويترك مهنة السقاية لكي يعمل معه.

About the Author
يوسف السباعي- أديب مصري من مواليد القاهرة 1917م. التحق بالكلية الحربية عام 1935م، وتولَّى العديد من المناصب العسكرية والثقافية، مثل رئاسة تحرير روز اليوسف، وآخر ساعة، ودار الهلال، والأهرام، وشغل منصب وزير الثقافة. اشتُهِر بإسهاماته في الرواية والقصة، ومن أشهر أعماله السقا مات، أرض النفاق، بين الأطلال، إني راحلة، وتحوَّلت جميعها لأفلام تُعَدُّ من أفضل كلاسيكيات السينما المصرية.
