The Cover: Very Good. The original cream-colored pictorial wraps are structurally clean and sound. The spine is uncracked with crisp, fully legible text. There is light, uniform age-toning along the margins and spine edge, which is standard for this paper stock, along with very minor shelf-rubbing at the tips. The flaps are intact and fold cleanly. The Binding: Fine. The tight, uncracked glue binding suggests the volume has been handled with immense care or left unread. The Interior: Fine. The pages are clean, crisp, and remarkably free from annotations, modern highlighting, underlines, or damp-staining. Octavio Paz's marker inscription on the title page remains bold, dark, and highly distinct without fading or bleed-through.
