In Quince, David Rosenmann-Taub analyzes fifteen of his own poems, illuminating some of their multiple levels. The commentaries demonstrate that nothing in his poems has been left to chance: each word, each silence, each phoneme, each rhythmic figure is at the service of the poem's meaning. For that reason, the included scores of the poems are indispensable, as is the included audio CD of the author reading each of the poems.
