Dr. Anurag Tripathi is an Assistant Professor in Christ University Bengaluru, Karnataka. He also worked as a Visiting Professor in L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan and worked as an Associate Fellow in Center for G-Global and Global Silk Road Projects Development, Astana, Kazakhstan. He also worked as a Research Associate at the Institute for Conflict Management (ICM), New Delhi. He earned his MA, M. Phil and Ph.D. from School of International Studies (SIS), Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). His doctoral thesis was focused on Kazakhstan-China Relations, 1991-2009. He has published widely and contributes articles in leading journals, magazines, and newspapers including Central Asia and the Caucasus, Austral Journal, Deccan Herald, Indian Outlook, Eurasian Review, South Asia Monitor, The Kashmir Telegraph, International Institute for Counter-Terrorism (ICT) Israel and New Age Islam. Dr. Tripathi specializes in politico-security and economic affairs of the South Asian and Central Asian regions. His areas of interest include Major power interests in Central Asia especially in the context of China's rise; India's Central Asia Policy and Security issues in South Asia.
Gaurav Kumar is a Researcher & Assistant Editor at the USI. He has been an Associate Fellow at USI for more than 2 years before shifting to the editorial section. He has published more than 100 articles/journals/book chapters on issues as regional security, peace and conflict, and internal and external threats in India and South Asia. He is Co-Editor of the Book India - Uzbekistan Partnership in Regional Peace and Stability: Challenges and Prospects and is Editorial Assistant for two books India-Nigeria Experience in Combatting Terrorism and India-China Building Strategic Trust.
