Synopsis
The novel presents the fictional narrative of a religious leader whose attainment of Godhood was the result of some undeniable and coincidental circumstances. He made home in the hearts of the people as a preacher of religion and was given the title of Mahant. Ruling the psyche of his disciples, he ensures that the concept of self-confidence and faith in God does not remain limited to religious discourses and worship of the Almighty. With the trust and respect of his faithful followers, he enters the domain of politics and goes on to become one of the leading politicians of the country. The Mahant registers his presence along with the different religious leaders in the field of national and international politics. Through the medium of politics, he not only fulfils the expectations of his devotees but also gives a counterblast to the critics of the politico-religion alliance through his work style.
