Amutha K. is an Assistant Professor of Textiles and Apparel Design, working in Bharathiar University, Coimbatore. She has seven years of teaching and research experience in India and abroad. She has published more than a dozen articles in the reputed national and international journals. She has presented more than 28 papers in various national and international conferences, seminars, symposia, etc. Apart from academics she has two years of industrial experience in a wellestablished Textile Testing Laboratory of an Export House in Tamil Nadu. She has undergone various training programmes, workshops, faculty development programmes, vocational training and orientation programmes. Recently she had organized a workshop on “Apparel Testing and Regulation for International Market” during March 2015 and a National Conference on “Eco-Textiles: A Step towards Sustainability” (NCETS 2015) during October 2015 at Bharathiar University.
