It is a multidisciplinary subject with the combination of several disciplines like Physical and Social Sciences. Hence, there is a need to know about our environmental problems. Due general awareness about the importance of the environment, this subject has been introduced in the course curriculum of schools, colleges and universities. This book attempts to provide all possible information about environment and hence can be used as a text book for the course.
