About the Author
V. Shruti Devi is an Advocate at the Supreme Court of India since 1997, and a politician with the Indian National Congress party, where she has campaigned at all levels, and extended timely pro bono expert advice on environment, indigenous rights, and biodiversity to key players in decision-making. Nature, governance, and metaphysical thought permeate her arguably globally impactful writings. Her books have received a Certificate of Honour from the Supreme Court Bar Association, and her latest book, Spirit of the Constitution: Fashions in Law, Politics, Environment, Winter/Spring 1998 (2023) was the recipient of a Sahitya Sparsh award in 2024.
