Synopsis

Sri Jagannath: Stories of Grace is a deeply moving spiritual memoir that reveals how divine grace quietly shapes human life through faith, surrender, and lived experience.

Rooted in lifelong devotion to Mahāprabhu Jagannāth and Śrī Krishna, this book presents thirty-eight spiritually reflective narratives drawn from real moments of personal struggle, pilgrimage, professional life, and inner transformation. Rather than portraying spirituality as distant theology or dramatic miracle, it reveals faith as a living relationship-one that unfolds gently through patience, humility, gratitude, and trust.

From the sacred streets of Puri and Vrindavan to the timeless cities of Kashi and Ayodhya, and across modern global landscapes including Delhi, Ethiopia, and Kenya, the narratives demonstrate that divine presence transcends geography, culture, and circumstance. Grace appears not as spectacle, but as subtle guidance-through relationships, unexpected opportunities, and the quiet unfolding of destiny.

Organized into five thematic sections, the book traces a complete spiritual journey-from childhood impressions of devotion, to encounters with saints and sacred history, to pilgrimages that test endurance, to the integration of faith within professional and personal life, and finally to mature realization grounded in surrender and inner peace.

This is not merely a book about devotion-it is a testimony to how grace transforms ordinary life into a sacred journey.

Readers will discover:

  • How divine grace operates silently in everyday life
  • How surrender brings clarity, strength, and inner peace
  • How pilgrimage becomes a path of inner transformation
  • How faith sustains individuals through uncertainty and change
  • How devotion evolves across time, geography, and life stages

Blending memoir, spiritual reflection, and cultural heritage, Sri Jagannath: Stories of Grace offers reassurance, inspiration, and companionship for seekers, believers, and thoughtful readers alike.

This book invites readers to recognize that life itself becomes sacred when lived with sincerity, devotion, and openness to grace.

About the Author

Dr. Dipti Ranjan Mohapatra is a Professor of Economics at Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Noida, whose academic journey and spiritual path flow side by side like two sacred streams nourishing one life.Trained in the rigorous disciplines of international trade and foreign direct investment, he has authored five books and more than fifty peer-reviewed research papers in international trade & foreign direct investment, transport economics, transportation engineering, project finance, infrastructure economics and development economics. His work has contributed to national and international development initiatives, and his research on non-motorized transportation has been cited in World Bank reports-affirming its relevance to inclusive and sustainable growth.Yet, beyond professional milestones, his life has been quietly shaped by devotion. Born and raised in the sacred atmosphere of Puri, in the shadow of Mahāprabhu Jagannāth, he learned early that knowledge without humility is incomplete, and success without surrender is hollow. From childhood temple bells to distant academic corridors, the presence of the Lord has remained his unseen companion.Whether teaching in classrooms, conducting research, consulting on infrastructure projects, or living in distant lands, he has sought to align intellect with inner awareness, and achievement with gratitude. For him, economics is not merely the study of markets and numbers, but a means to serve society with compassion, balance, and responsibility. This book emerges from that inner harmony-where scholarship meets surrender, and analysis bows before grace. The stories gathered here are not written as spiritual instruction, but as humble offerings born of lived experience, remembrance, and trust in divine guidance.Through his writing, he seeks not recognition, but resonance-hoping that readers may rediscover their own quiet conversations with the Divine in the midst of ordinary life.Above all, he remains a lifelong student of Mahāprabhu Jagannāth, learning each day that true wisdom lies not in knowing more, but in surrendering more.
