A tale of two cities by Charles dickens. Dickens is regarded as the most important novelist of Victorian age and his novel a tale of two cities is regarded as a classic anti war fiction. Drawing heavily upon the war between England and France, this novel shows the collapse of the meta narrative of progress and western civilization.
