Rabindranath Tagore, India's most well-known poet and litterateur reshaped Bengali literature and music. He became the first non-European to win the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1913. Gulzar, an acclaimed film-maker, lyricist and author, he is the recipient of a number of Filmfare and National Awards, the Oscar for Best Lyricist and the Dadasaheb Phalke Award.
