About the Authors

M. S. Thambirajah, MBBS, FRCPsych (UK), is working in the UK as a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist. He has authored a number of books and journal articles including Psychological Basis of Psychiatry and Developmental Assessment of the School-aged Child with Developmental Disabilities. He is a regular visitor to India and has participated in a number of seminars and workshops on child mental health and developmental problems conducted by different organisations.

Lalitha Lakshmi Ramanujan is Director of Alpha to Omega Learning Centre, Chennai, India. She has been running the centre with a group of dedicated staff for the last 20 years.

Alpha to Omega Learning Centre is affiliated to the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), under the Specially Accredited Institution for Disadvantaged (SAID) Department of Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.
