This book contains selected essays of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia on caste system that provide an overview of his thoughts on caste and his ideas on the abolition of caste system. Lohia has not only analysed the origin of caste, but also provided a deeper understanding of the continuation of the caste system and its implications for the progress of India. Imbued with the ideas of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia, Mahatma Gandhi and Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar, Raghu Thakur, an eminent Gandhian and socialst thinker, is committed to the cause of creation of an egalitarian society. He was associated with Lohia and assisted him in editing People and Mankind and later on helped in editing of Pratipaksh and The Other Side, published by George Fernandez.
