Empowering Marginalized Communities explores rural development through village adoption programs, focusing on Kumaravayalur, adopted by Bishop Heber College. It examines socio-economic and health conditions, assessing healthcare, education, employment, and livelihoods through qualitative and quantitative research.
The book highlights successes and challenges, offering policy recommendations for sustainable rural welfare. More than an academic study, it calls for action from researchers and policymakers, emphasizing institutional involvement in community upliftment. Supported by Bishop Heber College's Extension wing, it serves as a valuable resource for academicians and practitioners, bridging policy and practice to promote long-term rural transformation and self-reliance.
