Increased use of renewable energy sources can help governments achieve a wide range of policy goals such as improved energy security and diversity, reduced emissions of greenhouse gases and pollutants such as emissions of greenhouse gases and increased levels of technology exports. This report provides an overview of the renewable energy policies currently in place in IEA energy use in the IEA. The different policies used to promote renewable energy are classified and described, and their effectiveness is assessed. These policies are expected to result in a greater share of renewables, especially those such as wind and solar, in the IEA's energy mix.
