Since 2001, the international network Active Learning in Engineering education (ALE) organized a series of international workshops on innovation of engineering education. The papers in this book are selected to reflect the state of the art, based on contributions to the 2005 ALE workshop in Holland. About the Author
Erik de Graaf is a professor at TU Delft, Delft, The Netherlands. He is currently the Editor-in-Chief of the European Journal of Engineering Education, after serving as the Vice-President of SEFI between 2005 and 2008. Gillian Saunders-Smits is assistant professor at the TU Delft, and is a project leader of developing the online Master in Aerospace Structures & materials. Michael Nieweg is an Educational Consultant at Hogeschool van Amsterdam, and also runs his own freelance consultancy company.
