Synopsis
This text aims to serve researchers and policy-makers of both governmental and non-governmental organizations in their efforts to explore linkages among agricultural policy and the environment in a European context. It analyzes the effects of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) on the environment of the European Union. Existing environmental requirements in agricultural policy are assessed. Environmental policies affecting agriculture are reviewed. Focus is on market and price policies, as well as on accompanying measures and structural policies.
