This volume deals with the theory of well-posed boundary problems for general equations of composite type of the third order in the domain of arbitary dimensions and geometry. The first chapter deals with the results on solvability of boubdary-value problems and on the properties of equations of composite type of the third order. The second chapter is devoted to the problems of applications of the theory developed in the first chapter, and to the proof of solvability of certain inverse problems for second order equations. Also considered are new boundary-value problems for non-classic equations of the second order, as well as those for a strongly damped wave equation.
