Jonas Kubilius is regarded as one of the outstanding mathematicians of this century. His research gave a new perspective on the relationship between number theory, analysis and probability theory. In honour of his 70th birthday, a conference was held at Palanga, Lithuania. This proceedings volume contains original papers focusing on probabilistic number theory, especially distribution laws for arithmetical functions.
