Synopsis
The emphasis in this work is placed on establishing an understanding of the foundations of and common linkages between molecular structures and reactions, so that eventual interpretation of complex biochemical pathways and reactions is easy. All of the major biochemical pathways are covered, and, for the most part, these centre of mammalian biochemistry. Designed as an interactive tool, the text is interwoven with and supported by biochemical nomenclature, "major points" and questions to prompt while reading; higher learning sections are also provided for advanced students. In order to develop the reader's confidence, each chapter is concluded with self-assessment questions and references for further reading.
