About the Author

Yann Aubin is the Director of Compliance of Schlumberger. Prior to assuming his current role, Aubin served as the companys Director of Legal Operations, and, previously, held the position of General Counsel, Europe and Africa. Aubin graduated from the Widener Law School in Delaware, United States of America where he received a Masters degree in law (LLM) and from the University of Paris X Nanterre, France where he received a PhD in law. Aubins recent publication include: International Bank and Other Guarantees Handbook, Africa and Middle East volume, Wolters Kluwer, lead editor. Arnaud Idiart is the Head of Export Compliance for France for the Airbus Group. Prior to this role, Idiart held a variety of positions, over a twenty-eight years career, in the French military and more specifically within the French Ministry of Defense Export Control Department. Idiart is the Chairman of the Committee of Foreign Export Control Regulations of the Groupement des Industries Françaises Aéronautiques et Spatiales (GIFAS). Idiart also teaches at Paris I La Sorbonne University and Paris XI Sceaux University and regularly presents to vocational training seminars.
