The collection of glass in the Rijksmuseum is among the best known in the field of Western European, and in particular Dutch glass. The now published Glass in the Rijksmuseum volume II, together with the part I published in 1993, brings the entire collection into the picture. This edition covers the collection of engraved glass, and is divided into three chapters. Chapter I is about the Dutch diamond-engraved glasses from the 16th to the first half of the 19th century. Chapter II includes 18th and early 19th century Dutch and related German glass. Chapter III finally deals with the collection of 18th century Dutch stucco glasses. All objects are described briefly and clearly and often depicted from multiple viewpoints. Five registers enlarge the function as a reference book of this beautiful book.
