This new edition has been fully revised and updated throughout to take account of the responses of the diplomatic community and the major political, economic and environmental changes which have taken place since the last edition was published in 1993. A completely new chapter has been added on diplomats and the media, and the glossary has been expanded to take account of the ever increasing range of subjects with which diplomats are associated.
R.G. Feltham has been concerned with organising and teaching Diplomatic Studies for over 30 years, and was founder and Director of the Oxford University Foreign Service Programme. He has been both a diplomat and a consular officer, and currently acts as a Consultant to various governments on Diplomatic Studies.
