Synopsis
Marcello Mastroianni is a biography of the greatest among Italian actors, who during his forty-four years of acting in the cinema, made one hundred and thirty-two films. This is not only a fascinating portrait of an actor, but also an X-ray of a country and the history of an epoch. Mastroianni was perhaps the only Italian actor capable of moving to Paris and becoming a French actor, though he could just have easily moved to Hollywood and become an American actor. Worldwide, the public has grown up with Mastroianni, followed him in his cinematic interpretations and his chameleon-like ability to transform himself. He was however, always true to himself, in that he never stopped using his very own way of communicating with the audience.
