Synopsis
This volume accompanies the new edition of the “European Photography” festival. It aims at arousing reflections on the subject of memory, archives and future while confronting them with the reality of contemporary problems: forgotten roads, threatened situations, attempts at alternatives. Through the works of great masters from the recent past and those of new protagonists on the international scene, the concept of archive itself is therefore expanded – not as a confined space dedicated to conservation, but as a broader place from which one can draw stories and images that might help in understanding the present and imagining the future.
