Synopsis
Josep Lluís Mateo is one of Spain's most influential architects in architecture today. This book brings together his recent projects, his influences, his references together with material from interviews and a wealth of images. It is, in a nutshell, his work philosophy. Conversations, reflections and projects completed in the last five years are presented as realities and actions, interpreted through this concept, which can be contemplated as infinity of individual forms of contacting with reality and acting upon it. For Josep Lluís Mateo, the crux of this work is to analyse, from the perspective of his unique work, the state of issues and situations today in architecture and to interact accordingly with exterior space.

Brossura. Condition: fine. Mateo, Josep Lluis (illustrator). Texts by Stan Allen, Dominique Boudet, Vicente Guallart, José Luis Guerin, Marta Poch, Carlos M. Reis de Figueiredo, Jordi Teixidor. English text. Barcelona, 2009; paperback, pp. 220, col. ill., cm 16x23. A collection of Josep Lluís Mateo's most recent projects, built and unbuilt. Josep Lluís Mateo is one of Spain's most influential architects nowadays. This volume brings together his recent projects, his influences and references in his work, interviews, and intense graphic material. Rather than proposing a practice of general, abstract, generic architecture, Occasions seeks to understand it and to describe it as the product of an intelligence and a specific sensibility. Occasions speaks of the experience and the action as a sum of encounters with things, persons and ideas. These pages follow some of their traces. Occasions, despite its fragmentation and specificity, is not an inward-looking autobiographical chronicle. Occasions seeks to interact with what is outside it. Libro. Seller Inventory # 1918109
