About the Authors
C.F. Keil era un exegetico aleman protestante. Fue profesor de exegesis del Antiguo y Nuevo Testamento y de lenguajes orientales durante 25 anos. En 1859 se establecio en Leipzig, donde se dedico al trabajo literario y a los asuntos de la iglesia Luterana. En 1887 se mudo a Rodlitz, donde continuo su actividad literaria hasta que fallecio.
Franz Deilitzsch estudio en Leipzig y se convirtio en profesor privado en 1842; fue llamado como profesor corriente en Rostock en 1846; despues a Erlangen en 1850 y regreso a Leipzig en 1867. Su actividad exegetica en realidad comenzo en Erlangen, donde preparo algunos de los mejores comentarios del Antiguo Testamento solo y en conexion con Karl Keil.
