About the Author

Nacida en España, Chus Martínez tiene formación en filosofía e historia del arte. Actualmente es directora del Art Gender Nature de la Academia de Artes y Diseño FHNW, en Basilea. Para la 56 Bienal de Venecia (2015), Martínez comisarió el Pabellón Nacional de Cataluña y, para la edición 51, el Pabellón Nacional de Chipre (2005). Es la directora artística del espacio Ocean, en Venecia, un proyecto iniciado por la Academia TBA21. También es comisaria general de la Fundación Vuslat en Estambul. Previamente fue comisaria jefe en El Museo del Barrio, en Nueva York, y en el MACBA, en Barcelona (2008-2011), además de directora del Frankfurter Kunstverein (2005-2008) y directora artística de la Sala Rekalde, en Bilbao (2002-2005).
