About the Author

Canizales is an award-winning author and illustrator who specialises in children's books. His work has been published in many languages and has been exihibited in various museums and galleries around his hometown of Cali, Colombia. In 2018 he was awarded the Cuatrogatos Prize for high-quality work by Ibero-American writers and illustrators. He also received an honorary mention at the Ciudad de Palma Comic Awards. Other awards include the V Social Graphic novel Divina Pastora Award in 2017, the 2016 Apila Primera Impresion Award, and the 2016 Boolino award. He lives in Palma de Mallorca and spends most of his time dedicated to his greatest passion: illustration.
