Partimos de la idea de creación de productos que satisfagan las necesidades del ser humano. Se trata de una actividad creativa que debe aunar tanto la finalidad de uso de ese producto junto con el atractivo visual necesario para su aceptación por el ser humano. Es por tanto tan importante la técnica como la creatividad. Crear y llevar un nuevo producto al mercado implica dos procesos, la ingeniería de producto y el análisis de mercado.
