Hard to find
This collection of essays has been written in response to the absence of literature in English which describes contemporary Norwegian society and discusses the country's future. There has been too much emphasis on depicting Norway through a model of rose-painted harmony and a never-changing culture. Norway is a modern society in a changing world and not an isolated iceberg in the upper corner of Europe. 13 authors were invited to write chapters based on their expertise. They have managed to capture relevant aspects of Norwegian society and culture which may be interesting both from a foreign perspective as well as from a Norwegian one.
