When the subject is a large as the present one a small book like this comes in direct danger of criticism of readers that such as such topic have not been given due emphasis while such an such have been overemphasized. The present book entitled Encyclopaedia of Bioinformatics and Gene Technology has been written with this danger clearly recognized but it has also been written with the conviction that a book of this type can fulfil same useful function on and can provide effective instructions to students about bioinformatics especially in Indian Universities. Bioinformatics has moved just beyond data analysis and consists of DNA microarrays functional genomics structural genomics comparative genomics and medical informatics. The text comprises thirty three chapters each chosen and systematically arranged so that students of ordinary standard would be capable of learning. Understanding and mastering the all material in it. This book has taken an integrated view of the interdisciplinary nature of the subject. It attempts to cover the gaps in availability and subject treatment. 860 pp. Seller Inventory # 65775
