Synopsis

The decision to write this book was not a very difficult one. When my father, Om Prakash Rana passed away, I decided to write his story. He was a man of many parts a committed Advocate and a devoted family man. I felt it would be an appropriate way of paying tribute to someone who was fond of reading. Law was his first love - he spent 40 years practicing at the Supreme Court. While I was writing this book, I sometimes felt I was describing a stranger, but at the same time, I was constantly aware, that I was writing about my father. Hopefully this book will give the reader an insight and an appreciation of the way he lead his life, as I have appreciated and tried to live it. He has tried to give an insight into his life and the many incidents, which went into shaping him, to be the personality he was.
