About the Book: Citizenship and the Flow of Ideas in the Era of Globalization: Structure, Agency, and Power This book is based on the proposition that the institution and practice of citizenship gain legitimacy when the concepts comprises both * entitlement and membership of the moral community, the authors argue that there are effective ways through which the two can converge. These include institutional arrangements, shifting discourses, constitutional, political and economic reforms as well as architectural space, symbols and design leading to inclusive public domains. The chapter combine analytical skills drawn from different disciplinary foci and academic backgrounds. They draw on empirical evidence from India, Sri Lanka, Great Britain and the European Union, working out of a variety of sources, both visual and textual.
