About the Author
Anashuka Ravishankar, author of over ten books of verse, fiction and non-fiction, is considered a pioneer of the Indian English nonsense verse, and has written several such successful volumes for Tara, including Anything but a Grabooberry and Catch that Crocodile! Pulak Biswas, one of the most senior children's book illustrators in India, has worked on several books for Tara, including HenSparrow Turns Purple and Catch That Crocodile. He considers Tiger on a Tree his favourite among all the books he has ever illustrated.

Original Cloth. Condition: Good. Biswas, Pulah (illustrator). Reprint. Reprint from 2002 of a book originally published in 1997. The boards have some fading and staining in places. The spine is faded with some edge rubbing. The front panel has some fading to the left side and towards the top edge. The rear panel has some staining to the top half and another stain near the right side in the bottom half. There are two stickers on the boards - the front panel has a silver sticker with 'Award Winning Illustrations Biennale of Illlustrations Bratislava 1999' and the rear panel has an orange sticker with 'French Union for Culture & Libraries Star for Excellence in the Genre.' There is a tiny stain to one page but the pages are generally clean and unmarked. No jacket as issued. Seller Inventory # 019431
