About the Authors
Sumathi Rao is a distinguished Indian theoretical physicist, author, and advocate for women in science. She is best known for her contributions to condensed matter physics and quantum field theory, as well as her leadership in promoting gender equity in physics.
R. Durgaiah is an Indian academic author best known for co‑authoring the textbook Engineering Mechanics with M. V. Seshagiri Rao, published by Universities Press in 2005. His work is widely used in undergraduate engineering curricula in India.
