About the Author

An eminent writer and columnist, Ravi Bhatt is visiting faculty at the University of Lucknow. He has specialized in Lucknow's history, culture and politics. He currently writes two weekly columns on the history of the nawabs for the Hindustan Times and the leading Hindi daily, Dainik Jagran. His columns have also regularly appeared in the Times of India and the Indian Express.
