Softcover. Condition: gut. Auflage: 1st (2001). Nachdem ich mir schon einige Bücher zu dem Thema angesehen habe, auch viele sogenannte Standardwerke, habe ich hier meine Bibel gefunden. Ich bin ein Fan dieses Buchs!Vom Umfang des behandelten Stoffs hat mich dieses Werk als einziges zufriedengestellt, so ziemlich alle wichtigen Themen werden auch in der Tiefe (!) ausreichend behandelt, sehr schön und anschaulich durch Grafiken illustriert.Zur Aufmachungman merkt einfach, dass dies nicht die x. Auflage einer betagten Darstellung aus den 60ern ist, es ist sehr ansprechend und modern gestaltet.Was zusätzlich sehr positiv auffällt ist die Tatsache, dass neben einem einfachen Pseudocode auch Java als darstellende Sprache verwendet wird, sehr zeitgemäß, Pascal z.B. ist doch schon seit fast Jahrzehnten out of date.Leser aus dem nicht universitären Umfeld werden hiermit vielleicht ihre Schwierigkeiten haben, aber der Sinn des Buchs ist auch nichtAnwendung und Vergleich von Algorithmen in der Praxis, sondern eben die vertiefte Auseinandersetzung mit der Wirkungsweise, was natürlich auch ein solides mathemisches Backgroundwissen und entsprechenden Vertiefungswillen erfordert.Mein Fazit istWer dieses Standardwerk kauft, wird kein anderes mehr wollen.
