About the Author
<strong>Mahesh B. Patil</strong> graduated from IIT Bombay in 1984, and obtained M.S. from the University of Southern California in 1987 and Ph.D. from the University of Illinois in 1992, all in Electrical Engineering. He worked at the Central Research Lab, Hitachi (1993) and at IIT Kanpur (1994–1999), prior to joining IIT Bombay in 1999 where he is currently a Professor. With a rich teaching experience of about two decades, he has authored or co-authored more than 55 papers in various national and international journals and conferences, and co-authored a book entitled <em>Simulation of Power Electronic Circuit</em>. He was a recipient of the “Excellence in Teaching” award from IIT Bombay in 2012. His areas of interest include semiconductor device modelling and simulation, circuit simulation, and real-time simulation of power electronic circuits. He has developed the circuit simulation package, SEQUEL.
