About the Author
S.S. SASTRY, Ph.D., was a Scientist/Engineer SF in the Applied Mathematics Division of Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, Trivandrum, Kerala. Earlier, he taught undergraduate and postgraduate students at the Birla Institute of Technology, Ranchi for several years. Dr. Sastry is also the author of the widely adopted book Introductory Methods of Numerical Analysis, 4th ed., published by PHI Learning.
