Synopsis

About the Author

Erskine Caldwell was a writer whose work focused on poverty and the racial and social struggles of the South. His most famous novels include "Annette," "God's Little Acre," "Jenny by Nature," and "Trouble in July." Horacio Vazquez-Rial is a writer and a translator whose other translations include "Against Interpretation "by Susan Sontag, "Flowering Judas "by Katherine Anne Porter, and "The Pearl "by John Steinbeck.
